Optical Tape

Tapeworks offers a selection of  pressure-sensitive adhesive tapes used in the optical industry. Our knowledge of the products used in the optical manufacturing process can help solve problems encountered by optical labs. And with our converting capabilities, Tapeworks can supply them in the necessary form to suit the application.

Adhesive products can be found throughout the lens manufacturing and finishing process, including lens grinding, lens polishing and smoothing, and lens edging.

For example, the optical tape may be applied to the convex side of a lens to provide a protective film for the surface during grindings. All tape used in the lens finishing process provides a secure bond while still removing easily and cleanly after use.
